When to visit the Peruvian Amazon?

If you want to see the amazing flooded forest and be close to a large number of birds and mammals (as well as enjoying a slightly cooler temperature) you find it very attractive, then the season from December to May may be your best option. (Remember: despite being the ‘rainy’ season, in the Amazon it only rains 10% more than during the dry season).

If your desire is to walk into the forest and observe migratory birds perched in the trees as you cross the Amazon, still having the opportunity to observe monkeys and other mammals, as well as attend excellent fishing expeditions, you will be happy to choose the warmest dry season.

Perhaps the best solution of all is to choose a season this year… and another in the future. Regardless of which season you choose, with Peru A Travel you can always enjoy the attractions that the Peruvian jungle has to offer, and among them, you can choose to sail through the waters of the Amazon River aboard any of the cruises, be they tourist or those of luxury that promise to be an unforgettable experience or hire programs with a jungle lodge as a lodging center and base for your activities.
