TOUR DETAILS:

Day 1: ……….. / AREQUIPA

Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the airport for transfer to the selected hotel. Rest of the day off to rest.

Day 2: AREQUIPA/ CITY TOUR / SANTA CATALINA CONVENT

Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the airport for transfer to the selected hotel. Rest of the day off to rest.

At 2 p.m. we will take a guided tour of the main tourist attractions of the city, where you will visit the monastery of cloistered nuns of Santa Catalina, built in the XVI century and open to the public only in 1970. Santa Catalina is one of the buildings more remarkable and beautiful city, and after its walls saved more than 400 years of history.

The city of Arequipa has several buildings of Spanish type, ancient churches built on the basis of sillar (volcanic stone of white color) among which stands out and visit the Cathedral and the Company of Jesus.

Day 3: AREQUIPA - EXCURSION TO THE LOOKOUT OF THE VOLCANOES / COLCA

Breakfast in the Hotel. This day we go out of the city behind the Snowy Chachani, with direction to pampa Cañahuas, a National reservation of vicunas, also known as the window of the Colca. In the trip we will see the Mollepunco cave and will do a stop in the lookout of the Volcanoes.

Coming to the village of Chivay, transfer and accommodation in hotel. Free afternoon to visit the hot springs or rest.

Day 4: EXCURSION TO THE LOOKOUT OF THE CROSS OF THE CONDOR / PUNO

Breakfast in the Hotel. Early we will go out with direction to the lookout of the Cross of the Condor, and in the trip we will see the typical villages of Yanque and Maca, as well as also we will also appreciate the hanging tombs and Pre-Inca terraces with Andean crops like potatoes, maize, quinoa, Kiwicha, Olluco, etc.

Finished the excursion we will have a free time to have lunch (lunch not included) and then we will continue tripbu a tourist bus to Puno. Accommodation in the hotel and spend the night.

Day 5: PUNO – FLOATING ISLANDS OF THE UROS (LAKE TITICACA) - SILLUSTANI

Breakfast in the hotel. At the time indicated it will be transfer to the Titicaca Lake to start our excursion to the Uros floating islands; artificial islands, handmade by its inhabitants based on the Totora, a plant that grows in the Lake. The Uros live mainly from fishing, hunting and gathering, as well as the sale of handicrafts and multicolored fabrics. During the tour you can see and hear their customs, legends and folklore. It should be noted that all this day travel is sailing on Titicaca Lake, the highest navigable lake in the world. Back to the city of Puno.

In the afternoon we will visit Sillustani, a necropolis of Pre-Inca origin, located 34 Km from the city of Puno (35 minutes by road) and at an altitude of 3,840 m. a. s. l. During this visit we can enjoy magnificent landscapes and imposing architecture Pre-Inca, located at the top of a peninsula surrounded by the beautiful lagoon Umayo. The site archaeological of Sillustani is a cemetery that was built in the century XII by a civilization that occupied the area, before the domain Inca: the cultural Kolla.

The most imposing towers that we will observe in this place were built for the chiefs and the most important priests. For the ancient civilizations that were extended by Peru, cemeteries were places of rest for their dead and that strategically chose beautiful places that were considered sacred spaces.

When walking in the surroundings of Sillustani we can feel the energy that emanates from the whole peninsula and the harmony that constitutes the landscape is conducive to our hearts they recharge of peace.

Return to the city of Puno and overnight.

Day 6: PUNO / CUSCO (Tourist Bus)

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the bus station to take the tourist bus destined to the city of Cusco. On the way we will visit the museum of site of Pucará, we will make a brief stop in the “Line”, the highest point of the route (4335 m.a.s.l.), we will visit the Archeological Site of Raqchi (one of the main temples to the God Wiracocha), and we stop in Sicuani to enjoy a pleasant lunch buffet.

Finally, before arriving to Cusco we will visit the church of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of South America. Arriving in the city of Cusco, our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco

Day 7: CUSCO / CITY TOUR + ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTER

Breakfast in the hotel. Free morning.

At 13.00 hrs. Pick up from the hotel to start the tour by the colonial city, built on the foundations of Incas palaces. In the journey we will visit the Temple of the sun, also known as Qoricancha, and the Cathedral of Cusco, where we will observe beautiful paintings and sculptures.

We will visit the nearby archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enco, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 8: SACRED VALLEY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will start a tour to visit the beautiful town of Pisac, its traditional market, the popular show and its narrow streets (Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday). We will continue the tour through the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, where you can enjoy a nice lunch.

Then, we will visit Ollantaytambo, a still inhabited Inca City where a complex system of irrigation channels and foundations still remain from the Inca time and where much of the town was built. The archaeological site of Ollantaytambo has large groups of terraces, fortresses, squares, channels and the Real Casa del Sol, a megalithic temple of great mysticism. Overnight at Sacred Valley.

Day 9: MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to the train station to begin the excursion to the Sacred City of Machu Picchu declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage for Humanity and chosen as one of the modern seven wonders.

Once we reach the archeological site we will begin a guided tour around the citadel that will last about 2 hours. During the tour you will find temples, palaces, squares and streets of military and agricultural areas. The beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scene where it is located. Around the citadel, the National Reserve covers an area of ​​32.500 hectares and includes a constellation of archaeological monuments which we believe that were built as part of the complex of Machu Picchu and not in isolation.

Free time to enjoy the archaeological site. At the scheduled time with the guide, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have lunch. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 10: MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Day free to walk on your own in this small town, where the thermo-medicinal baths of the same name are located.

Aguas Calientes is the departure place to Machu Picchu, being its beautiful natural landscape its main attraction.
Also, if you prefer, you may make a second visit to the archaeological site.

The route you choose for this day is not included in the program and is in charge of each passenger.
Return by train to Cusco at the specified time. Reception, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 11 - CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport at the specified time to take your flight to Lima.

Peru may require visa for some nationalities. Please note that some countries require a reciprocity entrance fee.

The CHD rate applies for children from 2 to 10 years traveling accompanied by two adults and sharing a bed with them. Maximum 1 child is allowed with CHD rate per room. If you require additional bed you must pay an extra cost.
