Day 2: SACRED VALLEY TOUR

Between 8:00 hrs and 8:30 hrs, hotel pick up to begin with a tour through the sacred valley of the Incas, called by that name because of its geographical and climatic qualities. It was one of the principal points of agricultural production and specially the best corn grain in Peru and the world.

The Sacred Inca Valley is composed of colonial peoples that were created, and which today show their miscegenation in architecture, art and live culture. There we can find the town of Pisac and its artisan fair, Chincheros and its weavers, Urubamba and their cosmopolitism, the Fortress of Ollantaytambo and the Inca peoples alive that result in a monumental work of Inca architecture. Built over two mountains in a strategic place, it constituted a military, religious, administrative and agricultural complex.

Entering Ollantaytambo is entering a place with a prestigious legend. To understand it in all of its magnitude we should climb up the stairs and step on each rigorously traced step of the path to the main altar. On top is the master work of the Inca flintstones and architects.

Ollantaytambo is the only Inca city that is conserved almost intact with its inch time houses, which today serve as homes for their Andean descendants.

The main temple has a façade with six pink granite monoliths brought by someone2 from somewhere else. Perfectly assembled to the stone. The city possesses large groups of platforms, forts, squares, canals and the Royal Inca House, a megalithic temple of great mystic value.

During this tour you can also enjoy a great buffet lunch that is included in our package.

Transfer to the hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Day 3: TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the train station to begin the excursion to the Sacred City of Machu Picchu declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage for Humanity and chosen as one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Once we reach the archaeological site we will begin a guided tour around the citadel that will last about 2 hours. During the tour you will find temples, palaces, squares and streets of military and agricultural areas. The beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scenery where it is located. Around the citadel, the National Reserve covers an area of 32.500 hectares and includes a constellation of archaeological monuments which we believe that were built as part of the complex of Machu Picchu and not in an isolation way.

Free time to enjoy the archaeological site. At the arranged time with the guide, we will descend to Aguas Calientes town, where we will have included the lunch. Return to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.
