TOUR DETAILS

Day 01: LIMA

Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest and stabilize jet lag.

Day 02: CITY TOUR LIMA

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 09.00 or 14:00 hs, at your choice, we will start a panoramic tour of the city, where we can see the Colonial Center, the Main Square, the Palacio de Gobierno, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and Lima townhall. Also, we will visit San Francisco, a convent with cloisters and catacombs of the Colonial era. The tour will continue through the traditional areas of residential and commercial Lima to end with a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and beaches in the district of Miraflores.

Day 03: LIMA / CUSCO – CITY TOUR AND NEARBY RUINS

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer hotel / airport to board the flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

At 13:30 we will have a City Tour, visiting the Cathedral and Santo Domingo, known as Q’oricancha or Temple of the Sun Also, we will visit the nearby archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enco, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

Return to the Hotel and overnight at Cusco.

Day 04: CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will start a tour to visit the beautiful town of Pisac, its traditional market, the popular show and its narrow streets. (Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday). We will continue the tour through the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, where you can enjoy a nice buffet lunch.

Then, we will visit Ollantaytambo, a still inhabited Inca City where a complex system of irrigation channels and foundations still remain from the Inca time and where much of the town was built. The archaeological site of Ollantaytambo has large groups of terraces, fortresses, squares, channels and the Real Casa del Sol, a megalithic temple of great mysticism.

Overnight at Sacred Valley.

Day 05: SACRED VALLEY / TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the train station to begin the excursion to the Sacred city of Machu Picchu declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage for Humanity and chosen as one of the modern seven wonders.

Once we reach the archeological site we will begin a guided tour around the citadel that will last about 2 hours. During the tour you will find temples, palaces, squares and streets of military and agricultural areas. The beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scene where it is located. Around the citadel, the National Reserve covers an area of ​​32.500 hectares and includes a constellation of archaeological monuments which we believe that were built as part of the complex of Machu Picchu and not in isolation.

Free time to enjoy the archaeological site. At the scheduled time with the guide, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have lunch before returning to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Overnight Cusco.

Day 06: CUSCO / LIMA

After breakfast, transfer to airport or hotel at the stipulated time, according to your travel itinerary.

Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 07: LIMA / IQUITOS - AMAZONAS LODGE

River dock to start the journey through the world’s largest river, the Amazon, aboard comfortable and safe boats. The boat trip will allow you to appreciate the wonderful landscapes that the exuberance of the jungle provide, with picturesque villages filled with color and joy. Arrival at the lodge built in native style, surrounded by trees, plants and flowers, with numerous varieties of birds and butterflies. “Welcome Drink”, made with an exotic fruit from the jungle.

Hike or canoe tour, depending on the season, to a tribe of the Yagua community, one of the oldest ethnic groups in the Amazon. Here you will have the opportunity to learn their ancestral customs and learn the use of Pucuna (blowpipe).   Return to the lodge. Lunch.

In the afternoon we will have an ethnobotanic tour around the hotel, where you can distinguish certain species of the plant kingdom. Visit  o the Shaman (naturist), who will explain the properties of the flora of the region and its many uses. Then, visit to a fish farm to observe native fish species and visit to a typical village on the banks of the Amazon. We will appreciate a beautiful sunset when returning to the hotel.

At the indicated time, we will make an excursion by canoe or on foot, to perceive the jungle after dark. Return to the lodge. Dinner.

Overnight.

Day 08: AMAZONAS SINCHICUY LODGE / TAMBO YANAYACU LODGE

After a delicious breakfast, we will have our first day tour to Primary Jungle Reserve in the river Yanayacu ecosystem. We will navigate the Amazon River in open top boats up to the strategic point where the pink dolphins locate, They are the main actors of fantastic stories and legends of the Amazon.
Arrival at Huashalado Village, from where we walk to the river Yanayacu, where a boat that will transport us to the Yanayacu Tambo Lodge awaits. During the tour, we will enter the “Kingdom of the Giant Trees”, among which the “Lupuna” stands out.

This is a favorite place for birds because both the river species and the fruits growing on the banks are the basis of their diet, so, the thick forest offers ideal opportunities for nesting. With a little luck, you can also spot monkeys or perhaps a Sloth or “Pelejo.”

Arrival at Yanayacu Tambo Lodge. Lunch.

In the afternoon, we will hike by trail or canoe ride, according to the season, through the primary forest. We will observe the particularities of plants and trees from this ecosystem, such as the Victoria Water lilies and aquatic lily that can be spotted in lakes and that are up to 1.80 m in diameter. It is also possible to see in this area the Hoatzin or “Shansho”, a particular bird with primitive features which feeds on leaves. Return to the lodge. Dinner.  During and after dinner we can discuss with the guide what we observed during our tours. Overnight.

Day 09: TAMBO YANAYACU LODGE / IQUITOS / LIMA

After breakfast, return to the city of Iquitos. Transfer to airport or hotel at the stipulated time, according to your travel itinerary. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 10: LIMA

After breakfast. Transfer to airport or hotel at the stipulated time, according to your travel itinerary.

Passengers are responsible for having a valid passport (valid at least 6months before travel) and any visas required.

Peru may require visa for some nationalities. Please note that some countries require a reciprocity entrance fee.

The CHD rate applies for children from 2 to 10 years traveling accompanied by two adults and sharing a bed with them. Maximum 1 child is allowed with CHD rate per room. If you require additional bed you must pay an extra cost.
