Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer to you to the pier and navigate in “Pamacaris” (small boats typical of this region that have an outboard motor) for an hour and a half, until you reach the Amazonian lodge, built in the native style with natural materials on high ground, not flooded or “restinga”, in which varieties of birds and butterflies abound. The lodge staff will welcome us with a drink, made with fruits from the region such as cocona, camu-camu, copoazú, etc., while we receive a brief explanation on the rules that govern the sustainability of the lodge and of the natural environment, which will make your stay and participation in eco tourist activities more rewarding. Then we will prepare to enjoy the local cuisine in a lunch tasting several natural and fresh delicacies, obtained from the river and forest jungle. In the afternoon, we will take a guided ethnobotanical excursion to recognize species of the Amazonian plant kingdom, and if the weather permits, we will witness a beautiful sunset over the Amazon River. At dusk we can leave the lodge accompanied by the guide to discover the mysterious world of some nocturnal insects such as the cicadas, different types of spiders, the Praying Mantis, etc. Likewise, we can learn to distinguish the songs of the owls and the “Ayaymamas”. After dinner the local guides will tell us some stories based on stories and legends of the Amazonian mythology. (L.D)
